I have had a project in mind for a while that I initially wanted to implement with Python. I have a working prototype that I have tested with low player counts.
However you don’t have to be a genius to see how hard it will be to scale it. Python’s Async / concurrency APIs are not especially mature (and make your codebase quite ugly to be honest).
The requirements for this application server are that it has to be able to handle up to 5k websocket connections, do some simple business logic, and broadcast data to all clients without significant latency. Has anyone here done something similar with Go?
